Onwards and Upwards in 2008
In 2007 we got ourselves noticed in Birmingham, culminating in our success in the Birmingham Bar and Club Awards, in 2008 the plan is for bigger and better, forthcoming in 2008:
From Wed 27th Feb we have a new night starting – Wooden Shed – live music upstairs with an electro, alternative, indie vibe www.myspace.com/woodenshed.� Downstairs you can play board games with your mates.

The Cocktail Club – Every 3rd Thursday of the month starting Feb 21st we bring in the brand ambassadors from the various drinks companies to take members of the club through tutored tastings of their range of spirits.� Our bartenders will then show you some of the great cocktails that you can make with them.� Membership is free as are the tasting evenings, just send an email to [email protected] and we’ll add you to the mailing list.

Heated Outside area – we don’t believe in creating more environmental problems by sticking gas heaters outside the venue, we’ve bought the latest electrical quartz heaters to help keep you warm

Recycling – we take our responsibilities seriously so Island bar is shortly to recycle all its glass and card rather than committing it to landfill.
