We have dj’s and live acoustic music on many nights of the week (see Calendar of Events for further details), playing a wide variety of excellent guitar music. There are special drink creations and offers on most nights of the week (with original one-off cocktails prepared daily). Birmingham's first Tiki bar is now open upstairs at Island Bar. On Fridays and Saturdays access may be restricted due to private parties or band showcases (check out the Calendar of Events for further details). Island Bar offers free room hire (subject to a minimum spend), where you can celebrate your special occasion with our bar team. We have an upstairs lounge bar that is available for FREE private hire. The self-contained area has it’s own entrance, bar, toilets etc. and can accommodate up to 80 guests in comfort. We have the facilities to allow you to have live music, dj’s and we can provide catering for your event (the Kitchen Garden Organic Cafe in Kings Heath are one of our preferred suppliers) or allow you to bring your own food if you prefer. Welcome to the Family... Jekyll & Hyde!!
Island is delighted to announce the arrival of a new family member. The Jekyll & Hyde has now opened on Steelhouse Lane and aims to provide a haven of quality drinks, homemade food and friendly service in a part of town that has been neglected of this in recent years. The Jekyll is located 2 mins from Colmore Row and as well as offering a showcase for the talents of its staff provides an outdoor decked courtyard for enjoying the weather (?!) or having a cigarette. It will also offer something unique to Birmingham, it’s very own Gin parlour in the upstairs lounge bar which is available for free private hire.We hope you can visit the Jekyll soon and let us know what you think.
