Cocktail Masterclasses
Island is proud to offer our ‘Shaken & Stirred’ cocktail masterclasses, ideal as an interesting party event or as a fun-filled alternative team-building occasion. Learn the fine art of cocktail making skills and hone your cocktail bartending with some of the best bartenders in Birmingham.
The 3 main areas of the session include:
The History and Comparative Tasting of Spirits
- Enjoy learning more about your favourite spirits and compare the taste against their competitors.
Global Cocktails and Techniques
- Watch as one of our skilled bar team puts together some of the most famous cocktails from around the world while at the same time providing an insight into the history of how the cocktails came about.
Making Some Drinks
- Once the cocktails have been demonstrated you have the opportunity to make some global classics under the guidance of our expert staff.
Team Cocktail Competition
- We also provide the opportunity for teams to compete against each other to invent their own cocktail from scratch using the taste knowledge picked up on the day and come up with an original name for it. Our bar team will provide the judging and a prize will be awarded to the team providing the most interesting and well-made drink.
We charge £25 per person at the weekend and £20 during the week for the cocktail masterclass sessions detailed above. We are confident that you will find this cost very competitive, especially with the quality of the staff we are able to call upon.
If you would like the package altered in any way to focus more on a particular spirit etc, then please get in contact and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
We are also able to offer a full buffet or canapé service to complement the cocktails. |
