Welcome to island rock’n’roll cocktail bar

At island bar, Birmingham on Suffolk Street, Queensway we’ve brought together some of Birmingham’s finest bartenders under one roof, mixed them up with great guitar music, some funky furnishings and a great drinks and cocktail selection. Unlike most of the chain-led operations in town our bartenders are encouraged to use their imagination and skills to create great drinks for you. Whether you want a simple pint or a crafted cocktail we’ve got it covered.

We have dj’s and live acoustic music on many nights of the week (see the Weekly Events page for further details), playing a wide variety of excellent guitar music. There are special drinks creations and offers on most nights of the week (with original one-off cocktails prepared daily).

Fancy your own cocktail bar for the evening? – We have an upstairs lounge bar that is available for FREE private hire.  The self-contained area has it’s own entrance, bar, toilets etc. and can accommodate up to 80 guests in comfort.  We have the facilities to allow you to have live music, dj’s and we can provide catering for your event or allow you to bring your own food if you prefer.
